Recap: Inlet Grove Hurricanes vs. FAU High Owls
The Inlet Grove Hurricanes gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They blew past FAU High 77-40 at home. With Inlet Grove ahead 40-19 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Inlet Grove found their leader in underclassman Robert Brown , who scored 24 points along with 3 steals. Llyod Rene was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
FAU High's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Samuel Joseph, who scored 12 points. Joseph scored a full 30% of FAU High's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shepherd Britton, who scored 9 points.
Inlet Grove's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for FAU High, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Inlet Grove will take on Vero Beach at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for FAU High, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Royal Palm Beach at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Royal Palm Beach focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 last Tuesday.
