Pewaukee dropped their record down to 12-7 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Waukesha West Wolverines by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Pirates have suffered since April 30, 2024.

As for Waukesha West, they pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games.

For Waukesha West's part, not much got past Anna Dornbach, who gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks to keep Pewaukee off the board. Dornbach has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Waukesha West saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paige Kahle, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Kahle has posted since back in April.
