Baseball Recap: ACERO Garcia Has No Trouble Against South Shore International

ACERO Garcia was forced to take a big loss against they on Saturday, they got the better of them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the South Shore International Tars as they made off with a 17-5 win. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.

Andres Cruz made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up five earned runs off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.

In other batting news, Sebastian Villegas was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Edwin Soto also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

ACERO Garcia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

ACERO Garcia's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for South Shore International, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.
