Football Recap: Franklin County Rebels vs. Lawrence County Wildcats
Franklin County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 35-17 to the Lawrence County Wildcats. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
Logan Clayton had a dynamite game for Lawrence County, rushing for 98 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, while also throwing for 115 yards and a touchdown. Those 98 rushing yards gave Clayton a new career-high.
Franklin County's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Lawrence County, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6.
Franklin County and Spring Hill are set to duel on Friday. Franklin County will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Lawrence County, they will square off against Cheatham County Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
