Basketball Recap: Ben's Ford Christian Takes a Loss

Ben's Ford Christian won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They took a blow against the Amite School Center Rebels, falling 61-25. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-52 last Tuesday.

When it comes to explaining why Ben's Ford Christian lost, don't look at Israel Kongolo. Despite the final result, he posted eight points along with 14 rebounds and four blocks. Kongolo is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Jonus McNabb also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Ben's Ford Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Amite School Center, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
