Basketball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beardstown Tigers. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 43-27.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Beardstown, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty will challenge Quincy Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Quincy Notre Dame will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Liberty surely won't give up without a fight. As for Beardstown, they will square off against Mendon Unity at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
