Soccer Recap: West Johnston Takes a Loss

After flying high against C.B. Aycock last Wednesday, West Johnston came back down to earth. The Wildcats came up short against the Hunt Warriors on Wednesday, falling 7-2. That makes it the first time this season West Johnston have let down their home crowd.

JENNA UNDERWOOD and BROOKE BAIS scored both of West Johnston's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 35 goals.

West Johnston's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Hunt, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-3 record this season.

West Johnston will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on East Wake at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Hunt, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory against Smithfield-Selma on the 10th.
