Meanwhile, Curtis Baptist put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 80-48 victory over Wardlaw Academy at home. The result was nothing new for Curtis Baptist, who have now won three matches by 30 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Ty Shine, who scored 24 points. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Chas Beasley was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Northside Christian Academy's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Mead Hall Episcopal School's loss dropped theirs to 0-1.
Mead Hall Episcopal School won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in December of 2022, slipping by Curtis Baptist 53-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mead Hall Episcopal School since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
