Basketball Game Preview: Tulsa CHEF vs. Aspire HomeSchool Trailblazers

Tulsa CHEF will venture away from home to face off against the Aspire HomeSchool Trailblazers at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. Tulsa CHEF has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Tulsa CHEF is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Crossover Prep: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Tulsa CHEF blew Crossover Prep out of the water with a 59-11 final score. Tulsa CHEF pushed the score to 51-7 by the end of the third, a deficit Crossover Prep had no chance of recovering from.

Tulsa CHEF got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kelsey Mace out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards. That's the most points Mace has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Justyce Walters, who scored ten points along with six assists and six steals.

Tulsa CHEF smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Aspire HomeSchool was fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past Mingo Valley Christian 49-21. The Trailblazers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Tulsa CHEF is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.2 points over those games. As for Aspire HomeSchool, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-6.

Tulsa CHEF and Aspire HomeSchool were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but Tulsa CHEF came up empty-handed after a 21-20 defeat. Can Tulsa CHEF avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
