Baseball Recap: American Canyon Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

American Canyon won against Sonoma Valley on Thursday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Wolves beat the Petaluma Trojans by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-5. This was payback for the Wolves, who suffered an 8-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Andre Lopez, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI.

American Canyon pushed their record up to 10-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Petaluma, their defeat ended a 16-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-4.

American Canyon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
