Basketball Game Preview: Academy for Academic Excellence Knights vs. Silver Valley Trojans

Academy for Academic Excellence is 0-10 against Silver Valley since January of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Knights will head out to face off against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Academy for Academic Excellence is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 56 points on Monday, they were much more limited against Barstow on Wednesday. They were beaten by the Aztecs 95-26.

Despite the defeat, Academy for Academic Excellence saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Franklin Rabadi posted five points.

Meanwhile, Silver Valley came up short against Vasquez on Wednesday and fell 63-54. The Trojans have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Silver Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Academy for Academic Excellence took a serious blow against Silver Valley in their previous matchup back in January, falling 72-31. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Knights were down 51-15.
