Volleyball Recap: Melba Triumphs

It's playoff time, and Melba had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a set and slipped past the Kellogg Wildcats 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Kellogg lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jordyn Stutzke, who had 21 digs and six assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 19 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Paige Yrjana also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Melba's win bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Kellogg, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 21-2 record.

Melba has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against The Ambrose School on the 1st. As for Kellogg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Nampa Christian on the 31st.
