Basketball Recap: Jacksboro's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

After a string of four wins, Jacksboro's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Bowie Jackrabbits by a score of 44-42. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jackrabbits apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hayden Walker, who went 7 of 17 en route to 17 points and four steals. Walker has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brailyn Tullous, who posted eight points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Even though they lost, Jacksboro was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November.

Jacksboro's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. As for Bowie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Jacksboro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 52-35 victory against Ropes on the 26th. As for Bowie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-35 loss against Pottsboro on the 27th.
