Softball Game Preview: Triad Cardinals vs. Ridgedale Rockets

The Triad Cardinals will venture away from home to take on the Ridgedale Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Triad's hitters haven't had much luck over their past six matches, but Wednesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Having struggled with 12 losses in a row, Triad turned things around against Mechanicsburg on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Indians 1-0.

Not much got past Kaydee Roberts, who gave up just three hits to keep Mechanicsburg off the board.

Meanwhile, Ridgedale unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Waynesfield-Goshen by a score of 7-5.

Ridgedale's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for Triad, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 2-12.
