Softball Recap: Dayton Makes It Eight in a Row at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dayton). They were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the Union Catholic Vikings on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Bulldogs with their most commanding win of the season.

Dayton's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. As for Union Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Dayton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 18-1 victory against Brearley on the 8th. As for Union Catholic, they will square off against Kent Place at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Dragons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
