Recap: Roosevelt Rough Riders vs. San Fernando Tigers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Roosevelt Rough Riders can now relate to. They fell just short of San Fernando by a score of 28-26.
San Fernando's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Melvin Pineda led the charge by rushing for 101 yards on only ten carries.
Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for San Fernando, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. San Fernando will head out on the road to face off against Chatsworth at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Chatsworth is on a three-game streak of home wins, San Fernando a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
