Soccer Game Preview: Middle Tennessee Christian vs. Agathos Classical

Middle Tennessee Christian is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Agathos Classical a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars will host the Agathos Classical Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Middle Tennessee Christian challenged University School of Nashville on Tuesday. The Cougars came up short against the Tigers, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Middle Tennessee Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 257th, while University School of Nashville are ranked 127th).

Meanwhile, Agathos Classical lost 6-2 to Zion Christian Academy on Monday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Agathos Classical were already down 5-0.

Agathos Classical's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7-2.

Everything went Middle Tennessee Christian's way against Agathos Classical in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, as Middle Tennessee Christian made off with a 4-1 victory.
