Basketball Recap: Nevaeh Day Key Part of a Team Effort in Colonels Win

Christian County lost to McCracken County two weeks ago, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Christian County Colonels walked away with a 50-41 victory over the McCracken County Mustangs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colonels.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian County to victory, but perhaps none more so than NeVaeh Day, who went 8 for 15 on her way to 19 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Day is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anaysia Bagwell, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 16 points.

Christian County's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for McCracken County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Christian County and Franklin County will face off at 7:15 p.m. on Sunday without much rest having both just played. As for McCracken County, they and Breckinridge County will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday without much rest having both just played.
