Basketball Recap: Torrington Trailblazers vs. Wheatland Bulldogs
After flying high against Burns last Friday, Torrington came back down to earth. The Torrington Trailblazers took a 56-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wheatland Bulldogs. The Trailblazers lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 54-23 score last time.
Despite the loss, Torrington still got an impressive performance from Mac Hibben, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds. Hibben is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Landre Greiman was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.
Even though they lost, Torrington smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Torrington moved to 5-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Wheatland, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.
