Recap: Holy Cross Indians vs. Ludlow Panthers
If The Holy Cross Indians were riding high off their 48-6 takedown of the Trimble County Raiders last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Holy Cross suffered a rough 38-13 defeat at the hands of Ludlow on Friday. Holy Cross was down 31-7 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Although Holy Cross took the loss, they still got scores from Devonte Ryan and Ulysses Porter.
Holy Cross' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 5-3. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.3 points per game. As for Ludlow, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3.
Holy Cross will look to defend their home field on Friday against Newport at 7:00 p.m. As for Ludlow, they will head out on the road to face off against Paris at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
