Eastern entered their tilt with Wahama on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the White Falcons. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Clayton Moore spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Eastern's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Abner, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Lance Hensler was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Eastern's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Wahama, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-9 record.

Coming up, Eastern is taking a road trip to face off against Federal Hocking at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Lancers at the right time seeing as the Lancers are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Wahama, they will square off against Meigs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Marauders will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the White Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
