Baseball Recap: Murphy Comes Up Short

Murphy lost against Towns County back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bulldogs lost 18-5 to the Indians. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Murphy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Morgan, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Aayden Williams was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Murphy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Towns County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-13.

Looking ahead, Murphy will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Andrews at 4:30 p.m. Towns County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
