Basketball Recap: Peebles Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Peebles entered their game against Fairfield on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Peebles Indians took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fairfield Lions. The contest marked the Indians' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Fairfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Griffin Friend, who posted 18 points. The dominant performance also gave Friend a new career-high in assists (three). Logan McIntosh was another key player, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.

Peebles' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-2. As for Fairfield, their victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Peebles wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-54 loss against North Adams on the 20th. As for Fairfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-47 defeat against Fayetteville-Perry on the 20th.
