Basketball Recap: Westover Patriots vs. Bainbridge Bearcats        
        
		
            
 While it was all tied up  18-18 at halftime, the Westover Patriots were not quite the Bainbridge Bearcats's equal in the second half  on Friday. Westover took a  46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bearcats. Westover was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bearcats apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in January.
 Westover's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Jada Landers, who  scored ten points along with seven  rebounds and five  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sydney Donaldson, who  scored ten points along with seven  rebounds and six  steals.
  Z'riah Solomon continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bainbridge,  shooting 5-for-6 from deep and  dropping  a double-double on 18 points and ten  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Solomon has scored all season.  Taliyah Ausgood was another key contributor,  scoring six points along with five  assists and three  steals.
 This is  the second loss in a row for Westover and  nudges their season record down to 9-12. As for Bainbridge, their win bumped their record up to 7-13.
 Westover will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against the Hawks at 6:00  p.m. Hardaway is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road. As for Bainbridge, they won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against the Raiders at 4:00  p.m.  on January 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked  in Georgia (Shaw is ranked 220th, while the Bearcats are ranked 239th).
