After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grimsley, the R.J. Reynolds Demons were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They blew past Leadership Academy 4-1. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for R.J. Reynolds considering their one-goal performance the game before.
They hit Leadership Academy with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Mary Leinbach,
Libby Holden,
Lucy Stoter, and
Ruby Ferree.
The victory got R.J. Reynolds back to even at 1-1. As for Leadership Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
R.J. Reynolds will be playing in front of their home fans against Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Oak Grove will be up against R.J. Reynolds' rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive showing. Leadership Academy is on the road again on Monday and plays Walkertown at 6:00 p.m. on March 4th.
