Upper Scioto Valley is 1-9 against Perry since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rams will head out on the road to take on the Commodores at 5:00 p.m. This will be Upper Scioto Valley's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
On Saturday, Upper Scioto Valley came up short against Ada and fell 9-4.
Upper Scioto Valley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macoy Underwood, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Perry posted their closest victory since May 8, 2025 on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 16-15 win over McComb. The victory continues a trend for the Commodores in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.
Colten Scott made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Scott was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sylas Johnson, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Brodey Douce was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with four runs.
Upper Scioto Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Perry, their record now sits at 1-0.
Upper Scioto Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Perry in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, winning 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
