Basketball Recap: Greenway Demons vs. Cortez Colts
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greenway). They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cortez Colts 54-52. This was payback for the Demons, who suffered a 53-41 loss the last time these two teams met.
Greenway's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kevin Slocum, who shot 55% from the field on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Duvious Cannon, who posted nine points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Greenway was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.
