Volleyball Game Preview: Seaman Vikings vs. Piper Pirates

Seaman is a perfect 4-0 against Piper since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Vikings will face off against the Pirates. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Tuesday, Seaman didn't have quite enough to beat De Soto and fell 2-1. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 25-21 in the first set.

Seaman started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-20, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Piper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Blue Valley Southwest. Surprisingly, this marked the Pirates' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14.

Seaman's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Piper, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12-2.

Seaman beat Piper 2-0 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
