Baseball Recap: Woodlawn-B.R. Takes a Loss

Woodlawn-B.R.'s last matchup with Liberty Magnet could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Saturday. The Panthers lost 7-1 to the Patriots. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Woodlawn-B.R. saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan James, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Woodlawn-B.R.'s loss dropped their record down to 4-24. As for Liberty Magnet, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodlawn-B.R. will head out to challenge French Settlement at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Liberty Magnet, they will venture away from home to face off against Family Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
