Basketball Game Preview: Hebron Hawks vs. Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles

The Hebron Hawks and the Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, Hebron didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Westville, but they still walked away with a 69-63 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Hebron's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Spencer Wynsma led the charge by going 9 of 13 en route to 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peter Socci, who went 10 for 22 on his way to 21 points.

Meanwhile, Lake Station Edison scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took an 83-75 hit to the loss column at the hands of Calumet New Tech. The Fighting Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hebron has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Lake Station Edison, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
