After a string of four wins, Olympic's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Port Angeles Roughriders by a score of 4-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 4-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Olympic's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Port Angeles, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Olympic is set to face off against their familiar foe Bremerton at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Port Angeles will take on rival Sequim at 4:15 p.m. on April 7.
