Basketball Recap: Dugger Union's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Dugger Union's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 45-38 victory over the Red Hill Salukis. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Leading Dugger Union to victory were Jordyn Smith and Sage Stahl. Smith posted 24 points and five steals, while Stahl dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds. Stahl is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 20 games she's played.

Dugger Union's record now sits at 6-15. As for Red Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-14.

Dugger Union will challenge Cloverdale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dugger Union is facing Cloverdale at the right time seeing as Cloverdale is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Red Hill has already played their next match (against Farina South Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
