Basketball Game Preview: Lakeridge Pacers vs. Tualatin Timberwolves

The Lakeridge Pacers will head out on the road to face off against the Tualatin Timberwolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeridge will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Lakeridge escaped with a win against Tigard by the margin of a single free throw, 36-35.

Meanwhile, Tualatin had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They breezed by the Pioneers to the tune of 63-24. Given the Timberwolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Pioneers are ranked 67th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tualatin pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points per game. As for Lakeridge, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Lakeridge suffered a grim 38-18 defeat to Tualatin in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Lakeridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
