Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Zurich). They breezed past the Zion-Benton Zee-Bees to the tune of 63-14 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Zee-Bees: they've now won nine in a row.

Zion-Benton's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lanay Houston, who posted four points and three steals. What's more, Houston also posted a 40% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024.

Lake Zurich pushed their record up to 20-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.8 points over those games. As for Zion-Benton, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-24.

Lake Zurich didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-51 victory against Palatine on the 8th. As for Zion-Benton, they have also already played their next contest, a 50-49 win against Kelly on the 11th.
