Game recap: Fox High School Football Team defeats Central

MARLOW, Okla. - Fox (Okla.) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 35-24 victory over Central (Marlow, Okla.) on Saturday. The Foxes took the lead for good when they ran for a touchdown.

The Bronchos pulled ahead on a kick return touchdown by Kevin Harris, and subsequently went into halftime leading 18-8. The Foxes scored the winning points with a touchdown run that came in the fourth quarter.

Despite scoring zero points in the third, Fox still trailed by 10 points going into the fourth quarter. But 27 points in the fourth helped FHS pull out the victory.

The loss came as a surprise for Central, which entered the game ranked No. 17 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Oklahoma, while the Foxes were ranked No. 18. CHS came into the game having won zero of the past seven games between the two teams.



The Marlow school came in surrendering 11.0 points per game this season.

The defeat comes as a step back for Central, who notched a 48-0 victory over Geary in its previous outing.
