Basketball Game Preview: Coosa Christian Conquerors vs. West End Patriots

The Coosa Christian Conquerors will challenge the West End Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Coosa Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.7 points per game this season.

Coosa Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 84-66 win over Donoho on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Conquerors.

Coosa Christian found their leader in freshman Kylen Johnson, who went 16 of 26 on his way to 42 points and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. Grayson Malone was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Coosa Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, West End was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against Hokes Bluff, falling 76-42. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 444th, while the Eagles are ranked 149th).

Coosa Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for West End, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Coosa Christian took their victory against West End in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 79-54. Will Coosa Christian repeat their success, or does West End have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
