If Freedom was riding high fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Blake on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Freedom fell just short of the Seffner Christian Crusaders by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday. The Patriots' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Devon Acord was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last 12 contests. Liam Harris was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Seffner Christian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-6.
