Softball Recap: Humble Comes Up Short

Humble was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Goose Creek Memorial Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 back in March.

Humble saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Viviana Robles, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Humble's defeat dropped their record down to 5-23. As for Goose Creek Memorial, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 20-11.

Coming up, Humble will square off against Kingwood at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Goose Creek Memorial, they will face off against Atascocita at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 3.9, the Eagles 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
