Preview: Capitan vs. Dexter

Both Capitan and Dexter have made it this far into the playoffs, but they square off this Friday at 7:00 PM to determine who is worthy to move on. Dexter's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Capitan defense that got seven sacks against Dexter in its previous game.

Capitan has netted another blowout to add to its collection (now totaling nine) after its most recent game. It took its game against Dexter two weeks ago by a confident 48 - 22 score. With five TDs, senior Stephen Ellison was a significant factor in the success. Ellison has been a consistent playmaker for Capitan as this was the 3rd good game in a row from him. Additional support came from senior Price Bowen, a defensive powerhouse who racked up 16 tackles.

As for Dexter, it entered its match with back-to-back losses but put those troubles behind it. It blew past Texico last week 36 - 13.

Their wins bumped Dexter to 6-5 and Capitan to 9-1. Both Dexter and Capitan are bound to feel confident after their prior matchups, but one team's ego will take a hit. We'll find out which one when the teams meet up this week.
