Baseball Recap: St. Martin Sets Scoring Season-High Against Biloxi

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Martin). They put the hurt on the Biloxi Indians with a sharp 13-4 win on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21st.

St. Martin got a big performance out of Sean Stiglets, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave Stiglets a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Lawrence, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

The victory got St. Martin back to even at 12-12. As for Biloxi, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

St. Martin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-7 win against D'Iberville on the 15th. As for Biloxi, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-7 loss against Harrison Central on the 15th.
