Baseball Recap: Fairfield Comes Up Short

Fairfield lost against Bermudian Springs back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Fairfield lost 20-9 to Bermudian Springs. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vaughn Lewis stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he scored three runs and stole three bases. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Higgs, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Fairfield's record is now 0-2-1. As for Bermudian Springs, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairfield will host York Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Fairfield is facing York Catholic at the right time seeing as York Catholic is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bermudian Springs, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Delone Catholic at 4:15 p.m. Bermudian Springs will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: Delone Catholic will have lost three straight heading into Monday's game.
