Clarendon Hall and Calhoun Academy are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2019, but not for long. The Saints will venture away from home to take on the Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Clarendon Hall hasn't scored more than eight points for seven games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Clarendon Hall is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Greenwood Christian on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Saints were outmatched by the Hawks and fell 48-0.

Meanwhile, Calhoun Academy came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Warriors 42-8. 42 seems to be a good number for the Cavaliers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Clarendon Hall better keep an eye on Colt Layton. He was instrumental in Calhoun Academy's win, picking up 47 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also throwing for 84 yards and one TD.

Calhoun Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 297 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 221 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Calhoun Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Clarendon Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Clarendon Hall was taken down by Calhoun Academy 40-3 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Saints avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
