Baseball Recap: South Mountain Jaguars vs. Maryvale Panthers
South Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maryvale Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 14-13 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.
South Mountain saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mario Monarrez, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one double.
