Basketball Recap: Wesleyan Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Wesleyan, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 54-41 victory over the Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Eagles on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Wolves' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 404th, while the Eagles are ranked 140th).

Connor Morehouse was the offensive standout of the matchup as he went 5 for 12 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. Nate Nketia-Gyasi was another key player, putting up eight points and three blocks.

Wesleyan's record now sits at 5-14. As for Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, they moved to 10-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Mount Pisgah Christian the next time they take the court. Mt. Bethel Christian Academy will host Mount Pisgah Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Wesleyan will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
