Softball Recap: Kenosha Tremper Beats Oak Creek for Their Ninth Straight Victory

Kenosha Tremper had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Oak Creek Knights. The game was the first time the Trojans have beaten the Knights on their field since April 18, 2019.

Sophia Murphy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Vivian Meier was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Kenosha Tremper's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Oak Creek, they moved to 16-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Kenosha Tremper does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oak Creek, they will face off against Oshkosh West at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
