Basketball Game Preview: Ripley Tigers vs. Amory Panthers

Ripley is on a five-game streak of home losses, Amory a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Ripley Tigers challenge the Amory Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ripley lost 55-31 to Itawamba Agricultural on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Indians are ranked 73rd).

Meanwhile, Amory played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Tishomingo County and fell 67-23. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-13.

Ripley's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Amory, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-17.
