The Grant Park Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They suffered a rough 49-23 defeat at the hands of Tri-Point. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Grant Park has suffered against Tri-Point since January 16, 2020.

Grant Park lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Abby Watson, who scored seven points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Watson grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Marcotte, who scored four points along with six rebounds.

Grant Park's defeat was their seventh straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-16. As for Tri-Point, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grant Park will take on Beecher at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tri-Point, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Illinois Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. Illinois Lutheran has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 22.
