Football Recap: Killingly Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Killingly gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 41-32 win over the Bishop Hendricken Hawks.

Killingly had a senior duo take command as Hayden Allard gained 311 total yards and three touchdowns and Quinn Sumner threw for 188 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes. Allard has been hot recently, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played.

Killingly was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 328 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Hendricken only rushed for 189 rushing yards.

Despite the loss, Bishop Hendricken still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Brito, who threw for 260 yards and four TDs on only 15 passes, and also rushed for 70 yards on only nine carries.

Bishop Hendricken's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Killingly didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-0 victory against East Lyme on the 19th. As for Bishop Hendricken, they have also already played their next matchup, a 34-0 win against Cumberland on the 19th.
