Recap: Bandera BULLDOGS vs. Ingleside Mustangs
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Bandera BULLDOGS can now relate to. They took a serious blow against the Mustangs on Friday, falling 63-33. It was the first time this season that Bandera let down their fans at home.
Several BULLDOGS players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jesse Cardenas, who threw for 225 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 101 yards. Another player making a difference was Benton Cloudt, who picked up 35 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Ingleside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aidan Jakobsohn, who threw for 319 yards and six touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydon Smith, who picked up 125 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
Bandera's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Ingleside, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-1.
Bandera does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ingleside will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Wimberley at 2:00 p.m. on November 24th. Wimberley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
