Softball Game Preview: Farwell Eagles vs. Marion Eagles

Farwell are taking a road trip to challenge Marion at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Farwell has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Farwell is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of Standish-Sterling.

Marion couldn't beat Vestaburg on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Eagles fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 7-6. The Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 10-10-1. As for Farwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.

Farwell took their win against Marion when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Farwell since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
